***No Boring Bits***
When working on large scale tattoos, there is always the challenge of balancing a) the need to have the featured subjects in key and visible positions, and b) the need to have no boring bits that might look like an afterthought. On a leg, the obvious spaces “on show” are the outer thigh, and outer calf. But there’s a lot of spaces around and in between to fill with interesting and relevant stuff. The rear view on this full leg piece (in progress) highlights my efforts to maintain interest throughout the whole piece.
